Emailing This Site A number of messages to this site have been intercepted as “spam” by
our site filters. These have to be
spotted and rescued before we can post them – for instance, in the Common Room. Many of them have a ‘subject’ line in the same format: “’Class of
‘xx”. This is a very common subject
line for spam, since it is likely to
look as if it makes sense but doesn’t contain any specific information. So if you are emailing any of our site addresses, please don’t use that subject line. Another “subject” which may lead to your message being dumped is “Hi
...” and the filter is also very good at picking out and junking anything
within the email it thinks is aggressive.
Of 100 messages received as span each week, only one is likely to be genuine and it might not be
noticed. So please be careful. |

Viewing This Site If you’re
not using Internet Explorer to view this site, please note that work is in progress to change the way in which
images are processed on some older pages.
The site has up to now been using an XML feature on certain pages
which is now only viewable in a Microsoft browser. If you use another browser,
and until this work is complete,
we apologise if a page seems to be missing images or links and we
recommend you revisit the site using Internet Explorer if you are able to. Please note
also that while Internet Explorer, on
its default settings, automatically
reloads a web page which has changed since you last visited it, some other browsers do not: to be sure you’re seeing the latest
version of a page you may need to reload or refresh the page. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we on the site can do about that. |
