Summer Event 2014

Turned out nice again, hasn't it?

As I write, at least.    But Nottingham's history includes some very grim summers, too.   Why not join us this summer to wander back in time, exploring the ancient caves under Broad Marsh and then the history to be found on the streets of the city itself? Come into the site and find out all about it - our Summer Event is on Saturday, August 9th.

Carlton Le Willows, in Gedling, Nottinghamshire, was the first Grammar School built in the county since WW2. It enrolled its first pupils in 1953, but its status changed in the early seventies when it became a Comprehensive. Our Society is for ex-pupils and staff of the school in its Grammar School period. This site, funded by the Society, is for anyone who's interested and is intended to preserve memories of the School, foster links between those who studied and worked there, to encourage new membership and to provide a service for existing members.
