Tom Timms became quite a celebrity in the school as a jazz saxophonist and a would-be Beatnik. He formed a school Skiffle group and later a dance band combo (which included me on piano) but he was also an accomplished classical clarinettist. He went on to be a music teacher and professional performer. Here, though, he was near the beginning of his School career.
