Summer Time ...

... but the living ain't specially easy, what with credit crunches,  wars,   wall-to-wall Olympics and dawn-to-dusk downpours.    So forget all that for a moment and take a trip through our site to the golden fifties.   Not that the weather was much better then, nor the GDP.   In fact the latter was considerably worse ...

Carlton Le Willows, in Gedling, Nottinghamshire, was the first Grammar School built in the county since WW2. It enrolled its first pupils in 1953, but its status changed in the early seventies when it became a Comprehensive. Our Society is for ex-pupils and staff of the school in its Grammar School period. This site, funded by the Society, is for anyone who's interested and is intended to preserve memories of the School, foster links between those who studied and worked there, to encourage new membership and to provide a service for existing members.
